Common questions

Why am I being asked for camera / mic access?

Got It only requests permissions when a tool needs them — Scanner and QR ask for camera; Voice Memo asks for the mic. You can revoke any permission later in your device's Settings → Privacy.

How do I cancel or refund a subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, or Play Store → Subscriptions on Android. Refunds are handled by the same place.

Why is the daily AI limit only 5 calls on the free tier?

Cloud AI costs us per request. Five free calls per day cover most casual users; Pro removes the cap. You can also tap Watch ad for +3 when the daily counter runs out.

The Translator doesn't work without internet?

Got It downloads on-device language models on first use of each pair, then runs them entirely offline. The first translation in a new language pair needs a network connection to fetch the model.

Are my saved passwords backed up to the cloud?

Not in v1.0. Vault entries are encrypted with iOS Keychain / Android Keystore and stay on the device. Cloud sync is on the Pro roadmap.

What happens to my voice recordings?

Audio stays in a temporary folder on your phone until you tap Transcribe (sends only the audio bytes to OpenAI Whisper) or discard the recording.
