Got It — Privacy Policy

This policy describes what data Got It (the mobile app) collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What stays on your device
- Saved logins in the Password Vault — encrypted on the device, never uploaded.
- Document scans, generated PDFs, and processed images — kept in your local app sandbox until you share or save them.
- Recent-tool history, daily AI usage counters, and your tool preferences — stored in local SharedPreferences.
- Voice recordings — stored in a temporary folder on your device. Deleted when you discard them or close the recorder.
What we send off-device, and only when you ask
- AI calls (Smart Calculator NL math, AI auto-rename, Voice Memo summary): the text of your prompt is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic's data policy applies to that request.
- Voice transcription (Voice Memo): when you tap "Transcribe", the audio file is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API. The audio is processed for transcription and not used for model training (per OpenAI's API data policy).
- Currency rates (Converter): exchange rates are fetched from
exchangerate.host. No personal data is sent.
- Background removal (Image Toolkit Pro): if you opt into the cloud fallback, the image bytes are sent to
remove.bg. The on-device path (default) sends nothing.
Advertising (free tier only)
Got It shows banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads via Google AdMob in the free tier. AdMob may collect a device advertising ID and approximate location for ad targeting. See Google's ads policy. Ad personalization can be disabled in your device's privacy settings. Pro and Remove-Ads tier users see no ads.
In-app purchases
Subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play. Got It receives only a non-personally-identifying entitlement signal that determines your tier. We do not see your name, email, or payment details.
Children
Got It is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention & deletion
Anything stored on your device can be removed by:
- Long-pressing an entry in the Vault → Delete
- Tapping "Clear" in any tool screen
- Uninstalling the app (wipes all local data)
